Precision concrete wall cutting across the GTA

Wall Sawing in Toronto, Mississauga & the GTA

Creating an opening in a concrete wall calls for more control than ordinary demolition can provide. Titan offers professional wall sawing for doorways, windows, mechanical openings and structural modifications across Toronto, Mississauga and the GTA.

Clean openings. Controlled cuts.

Track-mounted diamond wall sawing

About the service

Precision Concrete Wall Cutting

Wall sawing uses a diamond blade mounted on a guided track. The track keeps the saw aligned while the blade advances through the wall, allowing accurate cuts on vertical surfaces, steep angles and other locations where a floor saw cannot work.

It is commonly used on reinforced concrete foundations and walls. Depending on the project, wall sawing may be combined with core drilling, hand sawing, wire sawing or concrete removal to complete the opening safely.

Common applications

Wall Sawing Applications

Titan supports new openings, renovations and selective wall removal. The approved layout, structural requirements and concealed hazards should be resolved before the saw is mounted.

Door Openings

New passage and doorway openings in concrete and masonry walls.

Window Openings

Basement, foundation and building window openings cut to the approved layout.

HVAC & Mechanical

Openings for ventilation, ductwork and other mechanical services.

Electrical & Plumbing

Wall penetrations for conduit, piping and building-service installations.

Equipment Access

Larger access and loading openings for equipment or operational changes.

Selective Wall Removal

Defined cuts for controlled removal of concrete wall sections.

Why Titan

Why Use Wall Sawing?

Track-guided wall sawing creates more defined openings with less impact on the surrounding wall than uncontrolled breaking. Setup, support and removal still need to be planned carefully.

Straight, Accurate Openings

The guided track follows the marked layout to create clean edges for framing and finishing.

Reinforced Concrete

Diamond wall saws can cut concrete containing reinforcing steel.

Less Percussive Impact

Sawing cuts the wall instead of relying entirely on impact demolition.

Restricted Locations

Track systems can work on vertical or sloped surfaces where floor saws cannot.

How it works

Our Wall Sawing Process

The cutting itself is one part of the assignment. Layout, access, support and removal all need to line up.

01

Review the Project Information

Send the site address, drawings, opening dimensions, wall thickness, photos and known reinforcement details.

02

Confirm Access and Constraints

Titan reviews equipment setup, water, access, occupied areas and the route for removing concrete sections.

03

Verify the Approved Layout

The opening is laid out from information supplied by the responsible contractor, owner or engineer. Scanning may be recommended.

04

Saw the Opening

The track is mounted and the wall is cut in the planned sequence using diamond-blade equipment.

05

Handle the Cut Section

The wall section is supported, divided if necessary and removed according to the agreed scope.

Concrete walls, foundations & structural openings

Wall Sawing for GTA Buildings & Renovations

Titan works with the practical realities of GTA sites: finished basements, condominium rules, occupied commercial spaces, loading restrictions and industrial shutdown windows.

Getting equipment in, protecting nearby finishes and safely moving the cut concrete out are part of the plan as well. Share those constraints at the estimate stage.

Frequently asked questions

Planning a Concrete Wall Opening

Opening dimensions, structural requirements, concealed services and section handling should all be confirmed before wall sawing begins.

Yes, wall sawing is commonly used for openings in concrete foundation walls. Structural review, permits, drainage, lintels or framing may also be required depending on the project.

Yes. Diamond wall saws can cut reinforced concrete. Heavy reinforcement and embedded steel can affect time, equipment and the cutting sequence.

Wall sawing is designed for controlled, low-impact cutting. The surrounding structure still needs to be assessed, and the cut section must be supported so it does not break away unexpectedly.

Scanning is often advisable when electrical conduit, plumbing, post-tension components or other concealed hazards may be present. The project team should also confirm structural reinforcement and obtain engineering direction where required.

Provide the site address, photos of both sides if available, opening width and height, wall thickness, wall material, access conditions, drawings, and whether removal of the cut concrete is required.
